Echoing Trap is a situational sideboard card for Ranger decks that expect to face opponents repeatedly playing the same attack action name in a turn, such as go-wide combo turns involving cards like Surging Strike lines, Crouching Tiger turns, or certain Runeblade/Ranger sequences; its Arsenal-blocking Ambush ability makes it less awkward than a normal defensive card, but it is generally narrow because the discard only matters when the opponent has already duplicated an attack name and because it costs 3 resources to play from hand. In most Ranger lists, stronger generic defensive options—such as **Sigil of Solace**, **Defense Reaction** options available in the format, or simply efficient blue cards and 3-block attacks—will be more reliable, while **Trench of Sunken Treasure**-style Arsenal management and stronger disruptive Ranger cards are usually higher priorities.
