Shadowrealm Ripper primarily benefits a Levia Shadow Brute deck, where a high density of Shadow cards makes its hand-banish trigger reliable and can turn a modest one-resource attack into a 6-power attack while also contributing Blood Debt; it is much less attractive in Nuu or generic Assassin builds, which generally have stronger disruption and stealth synergies. However, Levia has better one-resource attacks, especially Graveling Growl, which provides comparable or greater power without requiring you to discard a card from hand, while cards such as Dreadbore and other high-power Blood Debt attacks offer more consistent value. Shadowrealm Ripper should see play only as a budget or supplemental option in a Shadow-heavy Levia list, not as an automatic competitive inclusion, because the hand-banish cost and requirement that the discarded card be Shadow make it too inconsistent compared with Levia’s more efficient attacks.
