Ominous Aggression is best suited for Runeblade decks—especially Viserai or Vynnset builds—that naturally create and destroy auras like Runechants, since triggering the +4 power mode is very achievable and makes it an above-rate 0-cost pump compared to many generic options; it fits particularly well in aggressive Rune Gate or go-wide Runechant lists that can reliably pop an aura before or during combat. However, outside of aura-heavy Runeblade shells it’s underpowered, because without the +4 it’s just a modest +2 buff, and even within Runeblade there are often stronger class-specific attack reactions or non-attack actions that provide additional utility, scaling, or on-hit pressure (such as cards that generate Runechants while buffing). As a result, it’s playable and sometimes efficient in dedicated aura-destruction builds, but it’s generally a flex or meta call rather than an auto-include, and many optimized lists may prefer more synergistic or higher-ceiling Runeblade-specific pump e
