Evasive Nageboshi is best suited for aggressive Ninja decks (such as Katsu or Benji) that rely on landing key on-hit triggers like Mask of Momentum or combo starters, because its “can’t be defended by equipment or reaction cards” clause makes it an excellent finisher to force through a crucial hit and its go again helps maintain tempo; however, since it destroys itself and competes with consistently strong weapon options like Harmonized Kodachi, Zephyr Needle, or even Spider’s Bite (in Assassin builds), it is generally more of a niche tech choice than a staple. Decks that want a surprise, nearly guaranteed hit to close out a game or trigger combo pieces can benefit from a single copy, but in most competitive builds, repeatable and lower-opportunity-cost weapons are stronger over the course of a full game, so Evasive Nageboshi should see situational play rather than being an auto-include.
