It performs best in go-wide strategies where multiple qualifying attacks can each gain the +1 power bonus, increasing overall damage output efficiently. However, it competes with stronger and more flexible payoff cards like **Lightning Press** (efficient attack reaction with breakpoints), **Ball Lightning** (which can dramatically amplify damage across multiple attacks), and class-specific power cards that provide more consistent or higher damage ceilings. Because Ion Charged only buffs attacks *while they have go again* and costs 2 resources without providing go again itself, it can be slightly inefficient compared to other red Lightning staples.
