Overwhelming Swing is a Warrior attack reaction that fits best in aggressive, weapon-centric Warrior decks (especially Dorinthea Ironsong) that pressure with a single powerful weapon attack and force awkward defense reactions, since it scales off the number of defending cards and can heavily punish opponents who try to fully block; however, its additional resource cost per defending card makes it inefficient against heavy defense and awkward in resource-tight turns, so it’s generally considered underpowered compared to staples like Ironsong Response (which grants go again and scales more reliably in Dorinthea), Stroke of Foresight (in Dawnblade builds), or even generic reactions like Razor Reflex that provide strong breakpoints without scaling costs, meaning Overwhelming Swing is usually outclassed in competitive builds and only sees fringe or budget play rather than being a core inclusion in optimized Warrior decks.
