Man Overboard (3) is best suited for aggressive Necromancer builds that actively generate disposable ally tokens and want to convert them into burst damage, particularly midrange or tempo decks that can afford to trade board presence for immediate pressure and action efficiency; decks that reliably create allies each turn (such as summon-heavy or token-swarm strategies) gain the most value, since the discard becomes upside rather than a cost and enables the go again chain. However, if the deck relies on allies for sustained value, blocking, or triggered effects, the sacrifice may be too costly, and in those cases more consistent go again enablers or flat power attack actions that don’t require sacrificing board—such as generically efficient 0–1 cost red attacks with built-in go again or conditional power boosts—are often better because they preserve resources and board state.
