Sapwood Elixir would mainly benefit a slower, value-oriented deck that can consistently make use of the +3 power on a key attack and doesn’t mind spending a card slot on a setup piece—especially any deck that can generate or already plays with **Frailty tokens** and wants a small life swing plus go again while advancing a turn. That said, it’s generally a **niche** card rather than a staple: compared to more efficient generic pumps or broader-fidelity cards, it’s often worse because its upside is conditional and the life gain is modest; in many decks, cards that directly improve damage, hand efficiency, or flexibility will be better. If your deck can’t reliably use the Frailty clause, the card is usually below premium options, and even in token-focused builds it should probably be a sideboard or matchup-dependent consideration rather than automatic main-deck play.
