Stormshatter is a very narrow tech card that would only fit into a Lightning-focused deck—most realistically a Lightning Runeblade (like Briar in older formats) that can create **Lightning Flow** and is willing to destroy it for value—primarily in Lightning mirror matches where reducing a key Lightning attack by 3 power can swing combat math. However, outside of that specific synergy, it’s inefficient and conditional compared to broadly playable defense reactions like **Sink Below**, **Fate Foreseen**, or even class-specific defensive tools that don’t require sacrificing an aura. Since it only affects Lightning attacks and depends on you controlling Lightning Flow, it’s highly situational and generally weaker than more flexible defensive options, so it would at best be a niche sideboard card in a Lightning-heavy meta and typically should not see regular competitive play.
