**Truce (3)** fits best in slower, defensive “pillow‑fort” or fatigue‑style decks that want to buy a turn, gain incremental life, and deter aggression—particularly control builds that benefit from card draw and don’t mind giving the opponent 3 life (e.g., Guardian or control‑leaning Warrior lists). It can also function as a political tool in multiplayer formats like UPF, where choosing an opponent matters more. In competitive 1v1 CC, however, it’s generally underpowered: giving the opponent life and only drawing a card if they target you makes it unreliable tempo‑wise. Cards like **Sink Below**, **Fate Foreseen**, **Sigil of Solace**, **Oasis Respite**, or stronger defensive blues typically provide more consistent value without helping the opponent.
