Omens of Arcana would mainly benefit aggressive Lightning-based decks (such as Briar or Lexi builds that care about controlling Lightning tokens) that can potentially leverage Lightning Flow for synergy while appreciating a small buffer against arcane damage, especially in metas where arcane chip damage is common but not dominant; however, because it grants both heroes a Lightning Flow token with spellvoid 1, it is symmetrical and often helps the opponent just as much, making it inefficient compared to simply running Nullrune equipment (e.g., Nullrune Hood, Gloves, or Boots) or other Arcane Barrier sources that provide one-sided arcane protection without giving value away. As a result, unless a specific Lightning-token synergy makes the token materially advantageous, Omens of Arcana is generally a fringe or meta-dependent choice and is unlikely to see consistent competitive play over stronger, asymmetrical defensive options.
