Opal Guardian would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on enchantments and disrupting the opponent's creature spells. While it offers versatility as both an enchantment and a creature, its high mana cost may limit its effectiveness in faster-paced decks. Other cards like \\Sphere of Safety\\ or \\Detention Sphere\\ may provide more consistent control options, but Opal Guardian could still see play in a deck specifically tailored to take advantage of its unique abilities.
