Honed for Honor is best suited to aggressive Warrior decks built around repeatedly attacking with a sword—most notably Dorinthea/Dawnblade lists or other sword-centric builds that can stack several +1POWER counters in one turn—because it both increases weapon damage and can convert a heavily buffed sword into attack-reaction recursion for a following turn; however, the three-counter clause is demanding and often win-more, so it is generally weaker than more immediately impactful sword support such as **Sharpen Steel** when all you need is efficient weapon damage, or staple Warrior attack reactions such as **Ironsong Response** and **Steelblade Supremacy** when you need to force damage through. It can see play as a niche one- or two-of in dedicated sword-counter strategies that reliably reach three counters, but it is usually not a priority inclusion in standard Dorinthea-style decks that would rather run more consistent buffs, reactions, and blue pitch.
