This card would be beneficial in both a Ninja attack action card deck looking to increase the power of their low power attack actions, as well as a Crouching Tiger deck aiming to create multiple copies for extra plays. However, in terms of versatility and impact, other Ninja cards like Rasenchi that provide powerful effects without restriction may be more effective in competitive play, relegating Maul to a niche inclusion for specific strategies.
