Astral Strike, Lightning action - attack, designed by None first released in Mar, 2026 in the set Omens of the Third Age.
Astral Strike would benefit a Lightning hero deck in Flesh and Blood that can reliably destroy **Lightning Flow** in the same turn—most likely a Lightning Runeblade (such as Briar in an older format) or a future Lightning-focused hero that naturally cycles and destroys auras as part of its game plan. Because the card only becomes efficient after you’ve destroyed Lightning Flow, it’s highly conditional; without that setup it’s just an overcosted Lightning attack. Even when active, its ceiling (draw a card, +2 power, or go again) is solid but not exceptional compared to premium Lightning staples like **Lightning Surge**, **Snatch**, or other efficient 0‑cost go‑again attacks that don’t require prior setup. As a result, Astral Strike would likely be playable only in a very synergy‑focused Lightning Flow build and would not be a staple—better, less conditional Lightning attacks generally outperform it unless the deck is specifically built to trigger its effect consistently.
