Burning Curiosity fits best in aggressive or midrange red decks that value impulsive card advantage—such as Rakdos Sacrifice, Rakdos Aggro, Gruul Aggro, or Aristocrats-style builds—because those decks can turn the optional blight cost into upside by placing a -1/-1 counter on creatures that like dying (e.g., creatures with death triggers, persist/undying synergies, or disposable tokens) while refilling their hand with up to three playable cards; it’s especially appealing in formats where three-mana draw spells need to impact tempo immediately. That said, it competes with very strong red card-advantage staples like Reckless Impulse and Wrenn’s Resolve (both two mana and highly efficient), Light Up the Stage (often one mana in aggro shells), and Showdown of the Skalds or Fable of the Mirror-Breaker in slower midrange decks, which generally provide more consistent or powerful value. Because it costs three mana and requires board setup to maximize, Burning Curiosity would likely see play o
