Clip Flexor is best in aggressive decks—especially Ninja, Warrior, Assassin, or generic go-wide lists—that already run a high density of 3-defense attack reactions such as Razor Reflex, because it converts otherwise attack-only cards into surprise defensive cards without requiring resources; it is particularly useful when you want to preserve a reactive hand while still having the option to block large breakpoints. It is generally a niche or sideboard equipment rather than a staple, however, since it requires both the Flexor and an attack reaction in hand to matter, and it competes with stronger class-specific arm equipment: Ninja decks often prefer Breaking Scales for offensive resource generation, Warrior decks commonly get more value from Braveforge Bracers, and decks that simply need reliable blocking may prefer Ironrot Gauntlet or other defensive equipment.
