Fallen Herald

About Fallen Herald

Fallen Herald, action - attack, first released in September 2026 in the set Usurp the Shadow Throne. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 30.87.

Fallen Herald is mainly a niche defensive option for Shadow-based control or fatigue decks—particularly Chane or Levia builds—that can tolerate or exploit cards entering the banished zone; preventing 4 damage at instant speed can save you from a lethal attack or finish-turn damage, but the card does not stop on-hit effects and its Blood Debt costs you 1 life if it remains banished, making it risky in aggressive or low-life decks. In most situations, cards such as `Unmovable`, `Staunch Response`, or `Sink Below` are better because they provide meaningful defense, filtering, or disruption without creating a recurring life-loss drawback. Fallen Herald should generally not see play in competitive constructed decks unless your specific Shadow strategy benefits from banishing it, your metagame has many damage-heavy attacks, or you need additional instant-speed defense; otherwise, use stronger blocking or defensive cards instead.
