Flittering Forcefield (2), defense reaction, designed by None first released in May, 2026 in the set Omens of the Third Age. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.53.
Flittering Forcefield (2) is best suited for decks that frequently play instants during the opponent’s turn, such as Wizard (e.g., Kano) or certain Illusionist builds that naturally hold up and play instant-speed auras or tricks, since it can reliably defend for 4 (base 3 +1) for 2 resources, which is decent but not exceptional; however, it competes with stronger generic defensive options like Sink Below (which defends for 4 for 0 with deck filtering) and Fate Foreseen (4 for 0 with conditional value), making it generally less efficient in most non-illusionist lists, and in Illusionist specifically there are often more synergistic defensive cards that further the game plan, so while Flittering Forcefield (2) can be playable in niche instant-heavy defensive shells, it is usually outclassed and would only see play in very specific builds that can consistently trigger its bonus and value the 2-cost blue pitch.
