About Lay Low (2)

Lay Low (2), Generic defense reaction, designed by None first released in Jul, 2026 in the set Flesh and Blood: Promo Cards.

Lay Low is best in decks that can reliably mark the opposing hero—most naturally Assassin decks or any strategy built around Mark effects—because it becomes a free defense reaction that can blunt the opponent’s next attack by 1, which is especially useful for breaking attack breakpoints or making on-hit effects harder to land; however, its restriction is substantial, since it is dead while you are marked and does nothing unless the attacker is already marked. In most generic decks, more dependable options such as **Sink Below** (blocks 3 and filters a card), **Fate Foreseen** (blocks 3 and can add an arsenal card), or **Oasis Respite** (prevents 1 damage and gains 1 life) are better, because they work without setup and defend more efficiently. Lay Low is therefore a niche sideboard or meta call for a deck that marks opponents consistently, rather than a broadly playable generic defense reaction.
