Maga, Traitor to Mortals would be a strong addition to a mono-black control deck focused on draining the opponent's life total. While it can be a powerful finisher with the potential to deal a significant amount of damage upon entering the battlefield, its high mana cost may limit its effectiveness in faster-paced formats. Other cards like Gray Merchant of Asphodel may offer more consistent life drain potential, but Maga could still find a home in slower, more grindy matchups where its ability to scale with +1/+1 counters can shine.
