Malefic Incantation

About Malefic Incantation

Malefic Incantation, Runeblade action - aura, designed by None first released in September 2025 in the set GEM Pack 3. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 17.43.

Malefic Incantation is best suited to slower, attack-action-heavy Runeblade decks—especially Viserai lists that can reliably attack over several turns and value having a steady supply of Runechants for cards such as Mordred Tide, Revel in Runeblood, or Runechant-payoff effects—but it is generally too slow for aggressive combo builds, since it takes a card and an action point to produce only one Runechant per turn for three turns. In most constructed decks, direct Runechant generation is stronger: Read the Runes is usually better when you want three Runechants immediately, while cards that generate Runechants alongside an attack or other meaningful effect are more efficient because they do not require you to spend a turn setting up an aura. Malefic Incantation can be a reasonable budget, casual, Limited, or grindy Viserai option, particularly if you expect games to last multiple turns, but it is unlikely to merit regular competitive play when faster Runechant makers are available.
