**Mark the Prey** is best suited for Assassin decks that specifically leverage the **Mark** mechanic—most notably Arakni or Uzuri builds that gain bonuses against marked heroes (such as contract-style or on-hit disruption builds), since its 0-cost with *Stealth* makes it easy to slip through and enable synergies; however, on its own it has low impact because it doesn’t deal extra damage or generate card advantage, meaning it’s generally weaker than premium Assassin blues like **Leave No Witnesses** (which strips arsenal and marks) or stronger red stealth threats like **Infect** or **Surgical Extraction** that provide immediate disruptive value. As a result, Mark the Prey is usually a niche enabler rather than a staple, and should only see play in builds that heavily capitalize on the Marked condition—otherwise, there are more impactful Assassin attacks that provide better overall pressure and utility.
