Olde Leather Helm is a budget generic head equipment for defensive decks—or decks in aggressive/go-wide metagames—that expect opponents to make three or more attacks in a turn, since it can block for 3 on the third attack and is most useful for stopping a key breakpoint; it is particularly reasonable in Limited, Blitz, or casual lists without access to premium equipment.
