About Patient Zero
Patient Zero, Assassin action - attack, first released in October 2026 in the set Outbreak.
Patient Zero fits an Assassin deck that can generate disease tokens on its own side, then use Stealth attacks to pass those tokens to the opponent. Its zero cost helps keep the attack sequence flexible, but the on-hit effect does nothing unless you already control a disease token and the attack connects. For most Assassin decks, **Infect** is the better choice: it gives the opponent a Bloodrot Pox token on hit without that setup. I would play Patient Zero only in a dedicated disease-token build where moving your own tokens is part of the plan; otherwise, it is too conditional to earn a slot.
