About Lionclaw Maul

Lionclaw Maul, Guardian weapon - hammer (1h), designed by None first released in Jun, 2026 in the set Omens of the Third Age. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 3.61.

Lionclaw Maul is a Guardian 1H hammer that fits best in casual or budget Guardian builds that can consistently increase a weapon’s power above its base—such as Bravo or Valda Brightaxe lists that use auras, counters, or temporary power buffs—since it rewards you with an extra +1 power if it’s already boosted, making it slightly more threatening as a repeatable weapon. However, in competitive play it is generally outclassed by stronger Guardian weapons like **Anothos** (which can swing for 6 with two cards in pitch), **Winter’s Wail** (which provides disruptive Frostbite pressure), or **Titan’s Fist** in certain builds, all of which offer more reliable damage or on-hit impact without the drawback of “the crowd boos you,” which can create negative synergy in formats where crowd effects matter. Overall, Lionclaw Maul is flavorful and playable in niche or thematic builds, but it is typically not optimal and rarely sees serious competitive play compared to the more efficient Guardian weapon
