Skera Strapping fits best in Brute decks (Rhinar or Levia) that naturally pitch a high density of 6‑power cards—such as red 6‑power attacks and many of the blue 6‑power Brute staples—making the spellvoid 3 effect relatively easy to turn on in matchups where arcane damage matters (like against Kano or Iyslander); however, in most competitive Constructed environments it’s generally outclassed by **Goliath Gauntlet**, which provides proactive damage output and helps close games, or by **Nullrune Gloves**, which offer consistent Arcane Barrier 1 without any condition and can prevent more damage over multiple instances. As a result, Skera Strapping is a niche, meta‑dependent tech choice that’s reasonable if arcane decks are prevalent and your list reliably pitches 6‑power cards, but it is not a staple and usually shouldn’t see play over stronger, more consistent arm options.
