About Malice
Malice, Necromancer hero - young, designed by None first released in Jul, 2026 in the set Usurp the Shadow Throne Pre-release Cards.
Malice would suit a Young Necromancer zombie-recursion deck built around cheap zombies, especially ones with useful “when this dies” effects, plus blue pitch cards and sacrifice/combat-trade tools that reliably put zombies into the graveyard; her action lets you replay an important zombie each turn, while her death trigger converts lost zombies into face-down banished Corrupted Corpses for any corpse- or banish-payoff cards. There is not really a “better card” replacement for Malice, since she is a hero rather than a main-deck card—the relevant comparison is to other legal Young Necromancer heroes, if any, and Malice is preferable when recurring zombies and generating Corpses is the deck’s central plan. She should see play in a zombie-focused Young format, but only if the card pool contains enough efficient zombies and meaningful Corrupted Corpse/banished-zone payoffs; otherwise, spending an action point and 1 resource merely to replay a zombie may be too slow.
