Showdown (1) is best in aggressive Warrior decks—especially Dorinthea or Kassai builds that make multiple sword attacks and can reliably force hits—because it turns a successful sword swing into both +3 POWER and a potential Flurry token, rewarding pressure and on-hit consistency. It is strongest when paired with efficient weapon attacks, attack reactions, and ways to make blocking awkward, but it can be unreliable into decks with plentiful defense reactions or when your sword attack is unlikely to hit, since losing the wager gives the opponent the Flurry token instead. Compared with broadly efficient Warrior buffs such as Sharpen Steel, Hit and Run, Ironsong Response, or Ironsong Pride, Showdown is more conditional and higher-variance; it may be better only in a dedicated wager/Flurry-oriented strategy or if the token has major synergy in the format. It is likely a niche playable rather than a staple: run it when your deck consistently lands sword hits and benefits substantially from
