Robe of Repentance is only relevant for Blood Debt decks—primarily Levia, and to a lesser extent Shadow Runeblade heroes such as Chane or Vynnset—when they expect to end a turn with a dangerous Blood Debt card stranded face-up in banish; it can effectively prevent one Blood Debt trigger by turning that card face-down. In practice, it is a very weak option because it provides no armor and trades your chest slot merely to save a small amount of life once, whereas those decks generally prefer equipment that blocks damage or advances their game plan: Carrion Husk is dramatically better for Shadow heroes that can use it, while Levia usually prefers Scabskin Leathers for its defensive value and potential action-point generation. Robe of Repentance is therefore mostly a budget or very niche metagame choice, and should rarely see competitive play.
