Restless Corporal is best in a grindy Necromancer deck that treats the graveyard as a resource—especially one that banishes its own cards for effects but later wants those cards in the graveyard for recursion, reanimation, or “cards in graveyard” payoffs—because it converts a stranded banished card into usable graveyard material every turn for 0 resources and still gives go again; it is much weaker in aggressive lists that want their banished cards to stay banished or need immediate board impact. There is no strictly better generic replacement for its exact repeatable banished-to-graveyard effect, but any card that moves multiple banished cards at once, provides immediate recursion, or advances your primary game plan will usually be preferable in a faster deck; therefore, Restless Corporal should see play only as a narrow utility piece—likely one or two copies—in Necromancer builds with reliable graveyard payoffs, rather than as an automatic staple.
