**Rough Up** fits best in a **Brute deck that consistently pitches 6+ POWER cards**, especially builds running high-attack blues like *Swing Big*, *Pulping*, *Barraging Beatdown (blue)*, or other 6+ power pitch cards that naturally sit in the pitch zone—this makes it more attractive in slower, grindier Brute builds (like Rhinar value lists) rather than all‑in highroll combo styles. However, even at 3 power for 2 (when active), it is generally below rate compared to stronger Brute options such as **Swing Big** (much higher ceiling), **Pulping** (on‑hit pressure and disruption), **Barraging Beatdown** (intimidate synergy), or efficient generics like **Command and Conquer** and **Enlightened Strike** in non-budget builds. Because Brute already has access to more threatening or synergistic 2-cost attacks, **Rough Up is usually outclassed and rarely makes competitive lists**, though it can function as a budget filler in casual or limited environments where 6+ power pitch density is high.
