Maga, Traitor to Mortals would be a strong addition to a mono-black control deck focused on draining the opponent's life total. Other cards like Gray Merchant of Asphodel may offer more consistent life drain potential, but Maga could still find a home in slower, more grindy matchups where its ability to scale with +1/+1 counters can shine.
