Lessons Learned costs 0 resources and is best suited to a slow, grindy deck—particularly a reaction-heavy Warrior, Ninja, or Assassin build—that expects games to go long and runs several different attack reactions it wants to recycle, such as Ironsong Response, Razor Reflex, or class-specific reactions; it is more attractive in Blitz or fatigue-oriented matchups, where cycling a small deck matters more. The closest and generally stronger alternative is Remembrance, which can shuffle back any three differently named cards rather than only attack reactions, although it costs 3 resources, so Lessons Learned can be preferable when you specifically need cheap reaction recursion and blue pitch. Even so, Lessons Learned is usually too low-impact for competitive Constructed decks because it does not affect the board, draw a card, or immediately improve an attack, so it should mostly be considered a niche fatigue/sideboard option rather than a main-deck staple.
