Jive (3) is best in a deck that specifically rewards creating or controlling Blade Dance tokens—typically a token-synergy/combo list that can turn the token into extra damage, an attack, or material for another effect—rather than in a normal midrange or aggro deck where it is effectively just spending a card and action point for little immediate value. There is no universally better replacement if your deck needs the third-pitch blue card, but Jive (1) or Jive (2) are generally stronger inclusions when your resource curve allows them, since they offer the same Blade Dance setup while providing better blocking value; conversely, Jive (3) is preferable in blue-heavy decks that need reliable resources. It should see play only when Blade Dance is a meaningful payoff in the deck or is required for a specific line; otherwise, use cards that attack, defend, or generate value immediately instead.
