Pull from Beyond best fits a deck built to exploit Gate to i'Arathael tokens while running a very high red-card density, since Opt 2 makes its hit rate reliable and can also bury unwanted blues; it is most attractive in slower, setup-oriented Light/Angel or token-focused strategies that can afford to spend an action point on selection rather than immediate damage. It is not generally a staple in aggressive decks, which usually prefer cards that contribute damage or block efficiently, and it becomes poor when your red count is low because it can effectively be a zero-value action. There is no universal strictly better replacement because the Gate creation is unique, but if you only want deck filtering, cards such as Foresight offer Opt while also preventing damage, and if you need a proactive action, your class's efficient attacks or draw/filter effects will usually outperform it.
