Start Swinging

About Start Swinging

Start Swinging, event, first released in August 2026 in the set Smash Palace: Chorus of Steel.

Start Swinging is best suited to casual Ultimate Pit Fight-style decks that can exploit extra attack-action tokens better than opponents, particularly aggressive Warrior or Ninja strategies that can turn Blade Dance and Flurry into efficient go-wide pressure; in ordinary one-on-one competitive play, its symmetrical benefit and likely high resource cost make it far too low-impact, since opponents receive the same tools and the cheering effect does not create a meaningful advantage. Dedicated class cards that create attacks while advancing your own game plan, such as Warrior’s `Braveforge Bracers` lines or Ninja’s `Crouching Tiger` generators, are generally better because they are asymmetric and synergistic, so Start Swinging should be treated as a multiplayer novelty rather than a card that deserves competitive deck slots.
