Shadowrealm Walker is primarily a casual or specialized inclusion in a Vynnset Shadow Runeblade deck that actively wants to create Gate to i’Arathael tokens, since its low cost and Shadow requirement can support her resource and pitch patterns; however, banishing a card from hand is a significant cost, Blood Debt adds future life pressure, and the card does not provide enough immediate damage or value when the Gate condition is missed. In competitive builds, cards such as `Vynnset's` stronger Shadow attacks and efficient attacks like `Malign` or `Pulping` generally offer better damage, disruption, or consistency for the same resources, while dedicated Runechant and Gate-generating cards are better if the deck’s main plan is token production.
