Hellbound Assault, Brute action - attack, designed by None first released in august 2026 in the set Usurp the Shadow Throne.

Hellbound Assault is mainly for **Levia/Shadow Brute** decks, since its self-banish effect helps ensure you have a Blood Debt card in banishment to prevent Levia’s end-phase penalty, while its high attack value can support six-power Brute synergies; it is much less appealing in Rhinar or other Brute decks because Blood Debt is a real downside without Levia’s incentive to keep cards banished. In constructed Levia, it is generally outclassed by cards such as **Dread Screamer** and **Boneyard Marauder**, which can gain go again when you discard a six-power card and therefore create much stronger multi-attack turns, while cards like **Hungering Slaughterbeast** can offer similar pressure with better upside. Hellbound Assault can be acceptable as a redundancy piece, a budget option, or in Limited, but it is usually not a priority competitive inclusion unless the deck specifically needs more six-power Blood Debt attacks or has trouble keeping a Blood Debt card banished.
