Showdown (3) is best suited to weapon-centric Warrior decks—especially Dorinthea or Kassai builds that regularly make sword attacks and can force awkward blocks, making the wager likely to succeed and turning the Flurry token into additional pressure. As the blue-pitch version, it is primarily a resource card rather than a card you want to play often: +1 power is modest, and the wager only matters if the attack hits, so opponents can frequently deny the payoff by blocking. Showdown (1), the red version, is generally better when you actually want to use the effect because it provides a larger power boost, while cards such as Hit and Run can be preferable in lists that simply want reliable weapon buffs and go again without relying on the wager.
