Gutshot is primarily for Fang, Dracai of Blades and other aggressive Warrior decks that repeatedly attack with swords and can capitalize on winning wagers; it is especially good when your sword attack is likely to hit, since the +2 both pressures blocks and makes the Blade Dance token payoff more reliable. It is less attractive in generic Warrior lists or weapon-light builds, because it only affects sword attacks and can be inefficient when the opponent can comfortably block the attack and deny the wager reward. For raw damage and surprise value, **Ironsong Response** is generally the stronger sword buff, as its +3 at instant speed is harder to play around, while Gutshot’s advantage is its on-hit-style Blade Dance production and go again. Gutshot should see play as a supporting red/yellow pitch card in Fang sword lists built around wagers and Blade Dance tokens, but it is not an automatic staple and should usually be prioritized below the best efficient sword attack reactions.
